Hummus vs. Pesto - Our Best House Recipes

If you're looking for simple, delicious ways to enjoy your extra virgin olive oil, look no further. These two staple recipes—classic hummus and vibrant pesto—are the perfect showcase for the rich flavour and silky texture of a high-quality EVOO. BEST HOUSE HUMMUS
Ingredients:

Cooked Chickpeas or tin

Juice of a whole lemon

2 Large tablespoons of Tahini
-
½ tsp ground Cumin
-
Sea Salt
-
Pepper
-
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-
Water
Instructions:
Put all the ingredients except the oil and the water into a blender/NutriBullet.
Pour in the Extra Virgin Olive Oil and start the blender. Keep adding olive oil until it's rotating but not smooth.
At this point start adding more water–add more than you think, until it runs really smooth and creamy.
Serve with zaatar and Extra Virgin Olive Oil for even more deliciousness!
Enjoy with pita bread, falafels, or in your sandwiches or alongside salad for healthy, nutritious meals!
BEST HOUSE PESTO
Ingredients:

A good bunch of basil

A couple of garlic cloves

Sea salt
-
Black pepper
-
Chunk of grated Parmesan or cheddar cheese

Juice of half a lemon
-
Handful of pine nuts or almost any other nut (if you don't have pine nuts or want to make the recipe cheaper) lightly toasted in a fry pan but not browned

Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Instructions:
Put all the ingredients except the olive oil into a blender/ NutriBullet.
Pour in a good amount of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and start the blender. The pesto should run smooth, if not add more olive oil.
Repeat this process until the pesto is smooth and creamy.
